Industrial Tool Design & Manufacturing Services

At Modern Group, our vast engineering experience and dedication to superior services allow us to help you find the best custom forging tooling design to meet the most unique part designs. With over 100 years of experience in forging, we know what it takes to create high-quality and precise forge tooling.

In the past decade, Modern has adopted or further deployed many state-of-the-art tooling methods for our custom tooling design & manufacturing services. This includes DEFORM forging simulation software which predicts the success of our intended design before forging a part. Through precision trimming systems that use a series of springs or nitrogen cylinders to maintain the complex geometries of parts as they cycle through the pressures of the flash removal operation.

We have also employed the latest pulse arc welding methods and hard-face die materials that improve the integrity and life of the forge dies which in turn results in longer die life that improves part quality while reducing part cost.

Modern has built industry-leading tool shops at each of our forging facilities which allow us to not only control our own tooling lead times, but also allow us to the consistency of repeatable quality tooling outputs.
