Position Description:

  • Direct / support Quality Technicians / Inspectors with guidance from Quality Manager as required.
  • Program CMM / Articulating arms as required (Pcdimis and CMM Manager)
  • Maintain Gage calibration system.
  • Conduct Gage R&R as required.
  • Perform / support 1st Article inspection / reporting.
  • Perform Cpk studies as directed.
  • Maintain MRB with assistance of quality team.
  • Conduct internal & external audits within the frameworks of internal performance system and ISO standards to improve business processes.
  • Work with Modern team to analyze and determine nonconforming material causes
  • Work closely with Quality Engineer, Quality Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering, and the Value Streams to continually improve processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Experience:

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a quality professional
  • CMM Programming certification (PcDimis and CMM Manager)
  • 1 year Gage Calibration experience
  • Strong ability to read prints and interpret GD&T
  • Experience in reading & interpreting specifications and technical documents
  • Work with varying surface plate heights for inspection with the ability to carry / lift 20 pounds.

Preferred

  • Experience in CNC and or fabrication manufacturing environment
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong team leadership skills; ability to effectively train others
  • Qualified auditor in systems such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • A mix of working in the quality lab and in the shop.
  • Work with varying surface plate heights for inspection with the ability to carry / lift 20 pounds.

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • Monday to Thursday (Overtime: Friday as needed)
