Cut & Etch Weld Testing

At Modern Group we combine our engineering and metallurgical expertise to provide unique solutions to our customers. Cut & Etch is a critical destructive test that validates all the welding parameters that were developed during the engineering and PPAP phases of the project. The Cut & Etch inspection process begins with the identification of all critical weld joints, which in many cases include all the weld joints. Once the weld joints have been identified, physical samples will be taken from the initial PPAP process parts and then our quality technicians will physically cut each weld joint and prep it for inspection.
